Q295GNH Weathering Structural Steel

Q295GNH Weathering Structural Steel

The standard for Q295NH steel should be: GB/T4171-2008.

Weathering steel is made of ordinary carbon steel by adding a small amount of copper, nickel and other corrosion-resistant elements. It has the characteristics of high-quality steel in terms of strength, toughness, plasticity, forming, welding and cutting, abrasion, high temperature, and fatigue. The weathering resistance is 2- 8 times, and the paintability is 1.5-10 times that of ordinary carbon steel, which can be used in thinning, bare or simplified painting.

Q295NH steel is a welding type weathering steel, which has better welding performance than high weathering steel.

The grades of Q295NH steel consist of the first letter "Q", "GNH" or "NH" in Chinese Pinyin of "yield strength", "high weather resistance" or "weather resistance", the lower limit of yield strength and the quality grade (A, B, C , D, E) composition.
For example: Q295NHC Q——the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "Qu" in the yield strength;
295——The lower limit of the lower yield strength of steel, the unit is N/mm2;
NH - is the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the characters "Nai" and "wai";
C - quality grade.

Q295NH steel is smelted by converter or electric furnace, and is killed steel. Unless the buyer has special requirements, the smelting method is selected by the supplier.

Q295NH steel has the characteristics of rust resistance, corrosion resistance and longevity of components, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving, which benefit component manufacturers and users. The products are used to make structural parts such as containers, railway vehicles, oil derricks, seaport buildings, and oil production platforms.
