15crmo alloy pipe is a kind of seamless steel pipe, and its performance is much higher than that of ordinary seamless steel pipe, because this steel pipe contains more Cr, and its high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance are unmatched by other seamless steel pipes. Therefore, alloy pipes are widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, boiler and other industries.
15CrMo steel is a widely used steel in the power industry. It has high thermal strength when used at 500℃-550℃. When the operating temperature is higher than 550 °C, its thermal strength performance is significantly reduced.
Mechanical properties of 15CrMo alloy pipe:
Tensile strength: 440MPa
Yield point: 295MPa
Elongation after break (%): 22
Area shrinkage (%): 60
Usually 15CrMo alloy pipes are mainly used for high and medium pressure pipes with steam parameters of 510℃, steam guide pipes, and heat exchanger pipes with pipe wall temperature of 550℃.
15CrMo alloy pipe weldability Welding materials:
According to the working characteristics of the weldability of 15CrMo steel, according to the past experience, and referring to the welding process card provided by foreign countries, we have selected two schemes to carry out the welding test.
Option 1: Welding preheating, using ER80S-B2L welding wire, T1G welding base, E8018-B2 welding rod, welding rod arc welding cover surface, and local heat treatment after welding.
Scheme II: Use ER80S-B2L welding wire, T1G welding bottoming, E309Mo-16 welding rod, welding rod filling arc welding cover, no heat treatment after welding. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of the welding wire and electrode are shown in Table 1.
