The metal structure of 1Cr5Mo is martensite, which has good oxidation resistance at about 650 degrees Celsius, good thermal strength below 600 degrees Celsius, and good shock absorption and thermal conductivity. It is widely used in steam turbines. However, this type of steel has a greater tendency to harden, and the welding performance is poor.
