Composition and properties
WNM400 quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel is a low alloy heat treatable steel. It contains elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, nickel, molybdenum and titanium, which are all beneficial to the strength and wear resistance of the steel. This steel has a martensitic structure with a hardness of HRC46-50, which is the optimal hardness for wear resistance. At the same time, it also has good toughness and impact resistance.
Process characteristic
In order to improve its wear resistance, quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel WNM400 needs to be heat treated. The heat treatment process generally includes quenching and tempering, low temperature tempering and surface hardening, etc. Quenching and tempering is the essential part of this heat treatment process. The quenching temperature of WNM400 is 900-920℃ and the tempering temperature is 540-570℃. After tempering treatment, the hardness of WNM400 can reach HRC46-50, which can fully meet the requirements of wear parts.
Application
Due to its excellent wear resistance, WNM400 quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel has been widely used in engineering and machinery manufacturing. Its typical applications include conveyor chains, bucket teeth, crusher hammers, crusher plates, liners, ploughs, and roller bearings. Due to its martensitic structure and excellent wear resistance, WNM400 is an ideal material for these wear parts.
Conclusion
WNM400 quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel has been widely used in engineering and machinery applications due to its excellent wear resistance and toughness. It has excellent properties such as high hardness, high strength and good wear resistance, which make it an ideal material for wear parts. Through reasonable heat treatment process, its hardness can reach HRC46-50, fully meeting the requirements of wear parts. With the continuous development of quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel research and development, WNM400 will play a more and more important role in the fields of engineering and machinery.
