QUARD500 wear-resistant steel

QUARD500 wear-resistant steel

QUARD500 wear resistant steel is a product with a tensile strength of 1650 N/mm2 (240 ksi) and a yield point of 1300 N/mm2 (190 ksi).

QUARD500 wear-resistant steel has been successfully applied in high-abrasion environments, and it also has excellent machinability, especially welding performance.

QUARD500 is a water-hardened wear-resistant steel
The average hardness of QUARD500 wear-resistant steel delivered from the factory reaches 500 HBW, and its mechanical properties are obtained through quenching.

Delivery state mechanical properties:
hardness:
The room temperature hardness of the steel plate below 30mm thick (including 30mm) is 470-530 HBW,
450-530 HBW above 30mm;
Tensile test of transverse specimen at room temperature (typical value of 20MM (0.8 inch) thick steel plate):
Tensile strength: 1650 N/mm2 (240 ksi);
Yield point: 1300 N/mm2 (190 ksi);
Elongation: 8% (1o=5.65√So);
V-notch impact test of longitudinal specimen (typical value of 20MM (0.8 inch) thick steel plate):
Toughness: -20°C (-4°F), 25J (18 ft⋅lbf)
Transverse specimen bending test (typical value of 30MM (1.2 inches) thick steel plate):
Formability: bending core radius>=3.0x sample thickness, bending angle 180°

QUARD500 wear-resistant steel delivery status: temperature-controlled water quenching
QUARD500 wear-resistant steel application:
Loaders, excavators, dump trucks, conveyor equipment, trucks, knife-edge and breaking knives, waste removal and recycling equipment, and more.
