High weathering steel Q355GNH

High weathering steel Q355GNH

The performance standard of Q355GNH steel plate GB/T4171-2008, weathering steel is added with a few alloying elements such as Cu, P, Cr, Ni, etc. to form a protective layer on the basic surface of the metal to improve the steel with atmospheric corrosion resistance. The trademark of steel consists of "yield strength", the first letter "Q" in Chinese Pinyin of "high weather resistance", the lower limit of the yield strength of "GNH" and quality grades (A, B, C, D, E).

Q355GNH steel plate production method:
Q295GNH and Q355GNH are both high weathering steel sheets. Brief introduction of composition and properties:
Q355GNH tempering method steel adopts converter or electric furnace tempering and is killed steel, unless the buyer has special requirements, the tempering method shall be selected by the supplier.

Q355GNH delivery status:
Q355GNH steel plate is delivered in hot rolled, controlled rolled or normalized condition.

Chemical composition of Q355GNH high weather resistance:
C:≤0.12
S: 0.20~0.75
Mn:≤1.00
P: 0.07~0.75
S:≤0.020
Cu: 0.25~0.55
Cr: 0.30~1.25
Ni: ≤0.25

Mechanical properties of Q355GNH high weathering steel:
Tensile strength: ≥490~630Mpa
Yield strength: ≤355
Growth rate: ≤26

It is mainly used in structures such as vehicles, containers, buildings, towers or other structural parts. Compared with welded weathering steel, it has better atmospheric corrosion resistance. Available steel plate thickness ≤ 20mm.
