ASTM A106 Gr.B Introduction:
A106 Gr.B is a seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature.
A106 Gr.B steel is killed steel and should be smelted by one or more of the following methods: open hearth method, oxygen top-blown converter method or electric furnace method.
ASTM A106 Gr.B Heat Treatment Requirements:
The hot-finished tube does not need to be heat-treated; the cold-drawn tube should be heat-treated at a temperature of ≥650°C after the last cold-drawing process.
