X42 line pipe

The X42 line pipe is a line pipe with a steel grade of X42. The line pipe is used to transport the oil, steam and water extracted from the ground to the oil and gas industry enterprises through the line pipe.

Line pipes include seamless pipes and welded steel pipes, and the pipe ends have flat ends, threaded ends and socket ends; the connection methods are welding, coupling connection, socket connection, etc.

The steel grades include X42-70, and the varieties include onshore line pipes and submarine line pipes.

The production of line pipes currently adopts the microalloying heat treatment process, and the production cost of stainless steel seamless pipes is significantly higher than that of welded pipes. The conventional process is difficult to meet user requirements;

At present, all 12Cr1mov alloy pipe production plants are carrying out scientific research work to improve the corrosion resistance of their line pipes and the stable performance in low temperature and high temperature environments.
