A333 Gr.6 steel is a nickel-free steel and is an aluminum deoxidized fine-grained low-temperature ductile steel. Therefore, it is also called aluminum-killed steel.
A333 Gr.6 belongs to the American ANSI, ASTM-SA333 low temperature steel standard, and is used under the condition that the minimum impact temperature is -46℃. Its temperature range and fracture toughness value are similar to those of domestic 16Mn steel (the minimum operating temperature of 16Mn steel is -40℃).
The SA333 standard in ASME (seamless and welded nominal steel pipes for low temperature), so A333-6 is the representation method in the United States, and many countries follow it.
A333.Gr6 chemical composition:
C ≤0.30%
Mn 0.29-1.06%
P ≤0.025%
S ≤0.025%
Si ≥ 0.10%
The SA333 standard stipulates that the minimum impact test temperature of A333.Gr6 is -45 ℃, and the minimum temperature resistance is also determined according to this value.
