Q195 steel pipe

Q195 steel pipe

Q195 steel is a carbon structural steel. Yield strength 195MPA. Lower intensity than Q235.

Q--yield, 195-- is the minimum yield point (σs) value of the grade.

This type of steel is generally smelted by converter or open hearth, and its main raw materials are molten iron and scrap steel. The content of sulfur and phosphorus in steel is higher than that of high-quality carbon structural steel, generally sulfur ≤ 0.050%, phosphorus ≤ 0.045%. The content of other alloying elements brought into the steel by the raw materials, such as chromium, nickel and copper, generally does not exceed 0.30%. According to the composition and performance requirements, the grades of such steels are: Q195, Q215A, B, Q235A, Q235B, C, D , Q255A, B, Q275 and other steel grades.

Chemical composition of Q195:
C:≤0.12
Mn: ≤0.50
Si: ≤0.30
S:≤0.040
P: ≤0.035
Deoxidation method: F, b, Z

Q195 mechanical properties:
Tensile strength (σb/MPa): 315-430
Elongation (δ5/%):
≥33 (steel thickness or diameter ≦16mm),
≥32 (steel thickness or diameter>16-40mm)

Q195 welded pipe is used to transport low pressure fluid. Generally welded pipes are made of Q195A, Q215A, Q235A steel. Also available in other mild steels that are easy to weld.

The steel pipe needs to be tested for water pressure, bending, flattening, etc., and has certain requirements on the surface quality. Usually, the delivery length is 4-10m, and it is often required to deliver to a fixed length (or multiple feet).

The specification of the welded pipe is expressed by the nominal diameter (mm or inch). The nominal diameter is different from the actual one. The welded pipe has two kinds of ordinary steel pipe and thickened steel pipe according to the specified wall thickness.
